Paul, you should be able to touch and drag to select the song in the playlist.
Wally, here's the Revolution project file if you're able to take a look at it. I'm just using the built-in Quicktime support. This version has the video player and various little tweaks here and there.

elcapitan, since I have no touchscreen to test on, I'm sorry to say I can't help you with your problem.
I hate to throw in the towel this early, but college, natural disasters, and money are all kicking my ***. Maybe I'll get a touchscreen for Christmas and get motivated.
