@wfs1
1.. What type of phone?
Nokia Ngage QD(SymbianOS)
2.. What do you have in the Phoco configuration setup (phonectl.config.xml)?
Standard settings:
<Communication id="Symbian OS">
<Port>4</Port>
<Setting>38400,N,8,1</Setting>
<Vendor>Symbian</Vendor>
<PhoneBookLocation id="1" timeout="90" name="Tel" static="True" startup="True" shortcut="True">SYMBIAN</PhoneBookLocation>
<UseCharset>8859-1</UseCharset>
<UseClip>True</UseClip>
<UseCPAS>True</UseCPAS>
<UseCLCC>False</UseCLCC>
<UseCNMI mode="2,1">False</UseCNMI>
<UseBTManager>False</UseBTManager>
</Communication>
3.. When you start RR and allow it to spool Phoco check your Phonectlog.txt in the phonecontrol directory. Delete this file first, then run RR allowing it to call phoco and check the newly created file for errors.
Will do that..but its kinda late for it now,i will look tomorrow
4.. Make sure you have the -remotenodesign option checked and no entry in the ring tone file of RR config and save the RR when you exit.
Option is checked on but why no ringtone? its plain windows ringin.wav and it seems to be working fine when i do get RR and Phoco started
@hematec
I just noticed this:
RR is now in my windows startup folder, after booting winxp it starts RR and RR starts Phoco.
Now if i leave my PC alone for at least 2 minutes i think(hard to time,if i look too soon i have to close RR and try again) then phoco connects my phone and shows active in RR.
If i do anything before phoco is 'finished' loading/connecting than it just 'hangs' as in nothing happens and it doesn't come active in RR
The phoco icon is in the taskbar and the BT icon goes green but nothing even after disconnecting the phone and letting it reconnect.
The overall loading time i think is longer than the standalone Phoco and RR loading time together.
Thinking more it's just my system: it's no P3 its a VIA processor and i just realized i have 'only'128mb
I will put in some more tomorrow and see the difference
BTW everybody thanks for the quickie replies
