The newer 7" lilliput screens are more square. I'm trying to figure out what model screen you used, and/or where the tight fit is. If the size limit is created by the climate control knob, then the new lilliputs are out.
By the way, this is an excellent mod. I'm very impressed with the craftmanship so far.
