I've not tried any drivers other than the latest via ones. There is one jumper on the board which selects what the RCA type socket outputs (either Composite video or 5.1 surround) I tried both positions on the board and it made no difference to what I was trying to do.

The other thing I did think of was that maybe you needed to be playing a surround sound sound source (5.1 DVD) for the other chanels to have any effect? I only tried mp3s.
