I really wouldn't recermend that if it is a decent alarm, which it sounds like it is. Most of the decent ones have fail safe horns with built in batteries, cut the wires and it will just go off, until you take a hammer to it

This is to stop car thiefs from poping the hood and cutting the wires before they nick the car

Best advice it to talk to a car electronics specialist and ask them for advice and if they have (or can obtain) the installers manuals (these are very different to the users ones) and that should take you throught how to do it.
