I did try the suggestion in post #21 but to no avail. As far as R4 is concerned, mine says 660 which for surface mount ends up being 66 ohms and R3 the one below it says 471 which would be 470 ohms. I might have read the last digits wrong but will check again and post. Also, if anyone chould check the values for R3 & R4 and confirm this. Oh forgot to mention that I am only using the 4-pin 12V P4 connector as my motherboard only requires +12V and yes I have shorted the green wire to ground (pin 14 i think) to turn on the supply otherwise the supply won't turn on.
