Absolutely. Thanks for bringing it to my attention - I really hadn't noticed, all my testing focuses on actually using the buttons

Yeesh. Um... that would have to be a maybe. I've written something that looks a bit like it, but the animations are much laggier - I think Front Row may use OpenGL for what it does, or at least some unpleasantly advanced Core Graphics stuff. Also, I have approximately no idea whatsoever about how to do some of its really fancy tricks - transformed video previews, real-time floor reflections, and for that matter taking the initial screenshot that the whole thing then zooms out from. It's not -impossible- per se, but it would be at least until this summer that I'd have enough time to learn everything that'd be needed to recreate Front Row.
Edit - updated again. App will now fade out after three seconds of nonactivity, whether you've clicked any buttons in the interim or not.
