Yes, it will work...but you will have to do the following 3 things:

1. Use a laptop hard drive

2. Properly deaden the surface behind and around the pc.

3. Hold a screw half a foot away from your subs and slightly above their height level...drop the screw...if it hits the ground you're good to go. If it gets sucked onto the sub magnet, then you're going to have to move the computer further away.
