No doubt that it could be compensated for, but I'm willing to bet that the cost and practicalliy would be prohibitive.
Not familar with the Corvette's setup, but with character based LCDs, distortion isn't that big of an issue. If you use individual segments, would be pretty easy to place them such they account for the distortion somewhat.
With a graphical hud, it's going to be very noticable. Designing an optic to account for the windshield shape at a given distance I would imagine would be tough by itself. Then you have to have someone actually produce it, at one off costs, sure it would be expensive.
