I'm not saying it isn't an issue, just like shock can still be an issue in CarPC setups. I just enjoy analyzing this stuff.
full throttle across water hitting even small wakes is similar to hitting speedbumps at speed. While I just recently got into boats myself, 100Mph in a 16'8" flatbottom is one very rough ride... although this is on the very extreme side of things. this boat is not something that a carputer, or even a radio fits into, theres a lot of vibration just from the engine running. On larger boats this obviously isnt a problem. I think there is a lot of good potential for computers in boats and as previously stated boat owners generally have more money to spend so having more expensive and rugged parts shouldnt pose too much problem. good idea for starting this subforum.
