I didn't want to cut into the housing for the OBDII connection for some wires so I thought this cable would work great for my intentions. also, I looked around for a OBDII cable end and the cheapest I could find a female was about 24.00. I can buy the whole cable prewired as an extension to connect to my current OBDII cable for 10.00 more. I figured I'd just save myself the hassle and buy the cable outright.....
