I have the same screen. It has the following connections: +12V, Ground, Ignition, and another Ground. I assume the second ground is supposed to go to the ground on the brake. I simply have the two ground wires connected to each other with no problems.
Legally, you cannot view full motion view from a screen that is in the view of the driver. If the screen is in the passenger visor then that one would be okay. The indash screen has the e-brake safety to make it so you can only view the view when the e-brake is applies (as other have said). If you were to take you car to a shop to get the screen installed, they would have to wire it up to the e-brake or they could get it lots of trouble.
You take the risk of getting a ticket if you're caught watching a video while driving. It shouldn't be a problem by day but at night it would be more noticeable.
