You need to turn Clear Type on and then it should look just as good as 1024x768

Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:
Clear Type

Then ok and apply

The setting in the General.ini file
OriginalWidth=1024
OriginalHeight=683
ShowWidth=800
ShowHeight=534
XPosition=0
YPosition=66

if you do not what the space at the top
OriginalWidth=1024
OriginalHeight=683
ShowWidth=800
ShowHeight=600
XPosition=0
YPosition=0
