I'm not sure if it's the answer you were looking for or hoping for, but it's the route I'd adopt in your position.
Components up front and some cheaper co-axial speakers, JBL or what-ever takes your fancy in the rear.
I would see how it works with a JBL 4 channel amp powering the components and the co-axials. Then use the Amp you currently have for the Subs. If it's lacking punch then upgrade that part of the system.
Just don't expect miracles as soon as you get the components!
