I am still seriously considering buying an i450 for the car only. At $20/mo it may be worth it to have always-on internet in the car.
Questions to those that use it (asked before, but I'm taking an updated poll)
How much does it really cost?
What speeds to you really get (Wi-DEN)?
Have you used it with Google Earth?
Hav you used it with Sling-Player?
Does it auto connect when you start the car and stay connected untill you turn off the car?
1. the real cost is 20 cents a day as of september 1. Definitely not 20 bucks a month

2. With widen i get speeds of about 5kbps
3. Nope
4. Nope
5. Its easy to make a script to launch at startup to do this. Personally, i use Whereismygps at startup and it autolaunches the connection. If you need the script to autolaunch at start i can give it to you (but since youre a programmer i doubt you need it)
