The installer will be updated with each new binary and released. The updater will be able to download the new binaries soon after they are released. The installer comes prepackaged with the 9/5/06 version and the BMV2 skin. The weather icons are also now in the correct location.

Good job man. Why don’t you talk to Guino to integrate some of your code in to RR itself? It would be useful for people who have RR already installed. It could work something like this:
1. When user launches RR it would check if internet connection is available.
2. Connect to rrdownloads.net and compare installed rr.exe with the rr.exe on the network.
3. If the executables are different if could prompt the user “The new RoadRunner version is available, do you want to install the update?”
4. If user clicks yes, just download and replace rr.exe automatically.
5. Restart rr.exe and you done.
We could even have a special skin for that to choose what additional files we want to download.
