Good job man. Why don’t you talk to Guino to integrate some of your code in to RR itself? It would be useful for people who have RR already installed. It could work something like this:
1. When user launches RR it would check if internet connection is available.
2. Connect to rrdownloads.net and compare installed rr.exe with the rr.exe on the network.
3. If the executables are different if could prompt the user “The new RoadRunner version is available, do you want to install the update?”
4. If user clicks yes, just download and replace rr.exe automatically.
5. Restart rr.exe and you done.
We could even have a special skin for that to choose what additional files we want to download.
that would be very cool. I would be concerned though about what files are all included in an installer or updater, there are some files that i allways delete from the RR updates so they dont overwrite my own, like KeyTBL.ini and ExecTBL.ini
