So I go to the media library screen to see what's going on and it's done something horrible! All my music has been shoved under "Unknown Artist" and "Unknown Album"!!! What's going on? All my mp3s have correct ID3 v1 and v2 tags with Artist, Album, Title, Track Number, Year and Genre all filled for every mp3. On top of that they are in "Artist/Album/Tr - Title" format on disk.

I've tried rebuilding the library again and same thing.

Anyone care to shed any light on this? Where abouts is the library information stored on the computer? I've only had at most 1400 mp3s in my car before, could it be something to do with the volume of the library I'm trying to create?

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions!!

haven't heard this one... Have you tried just setting maybe one artist as the music folder and hitting rebuild and seeing if it works?

it's stored in the main.dat Access database file...

It appears it couldn't read your tags for some reason... Any strange permissions on the files? Is there an error.log filled with a bunch of errors?
