So the issue has been that you have had to disconnect the OBDPro interface from the computer everytime you reboot.

Ideally what everyone wants is where you plug one end into the car, the other into the computer and forget about it. So the device will recover from reboot, standby, hibernate without requiring any physical disconnect from either car or PC of the OBDPro, or having to fiddle with finding the correct USB port etc.

Not sure I understand, do you mean boot up of the PC? If you disconnect the PC from the OBDPro interface but leave the interface plugged into the DLC (car connector) and reconnect the PC that will be fine and will not require you to disconnec the OBDPro interface from the DLC.
