I played around with the kxdrivers for my audigy card, but from what I remember, the crossover function did not allow for slope adjustment. I would prefer to be able to play with crossover slope before I even think about using a software EQ. If only winamp could use ASIO. There is a really nice EQ plugin made by Nevi were you can pretty much draw your EQ curve. it was really buggy though and heavy CPU usage. You could do a -60db notch filter on it though.
I also looked into TI, they make an 8 channel DSP development board. I wanted to buy it and do my own programming on it, but cost was not feasable. >$2000

The computer is fully capable of processing the audio in anyway we want. I would love to dump my PXA-H701 just to show my buddy its not needed.
