yeah, lint is a big problem... mostly because the inners of the lcd seem to be static charged & everything sticks to it... a clean room is supossed to be just that... like a spraybooth... filtered air in... but even the best of the best will only be so much contamination free... it controls the dust& lint, but doesn't completely eliminate it...
a cleanroom being 100% necissary is bull****... it helps for production but if your careful & have a clean environment then you can do the same thing they do really... the trick is to be concious of lint & dust.... heres a screen I worked on modifying... I got a hair inside... but this can be removed...
a cleanroom helps the way a spraybooth helps, but niether is 100% necissary... just easier..
