These are instructions for T-mobile Internet and they dont work with T-zones internet which I have in my plan.
Setting up the modem
1. On the PC, connect the serial cable from the serial port to the handset. Ensure the handset is powered on.
2. Click on Start, Control Panel, and double click on Phone and Modem Options.
3. Click on the Modems tab.
4. Click on Add…
5. Tick Don’t detect my modem; I will select it from a list.
6. Click on Next.
7. From the Manufacturer list click to select Samsung.
8. From the Models list, click to select Samsung GPRS MODEM.
9. Click on Next.
10. Tick Selected ports.
11. Click to select COM1 from the list.
12. Click on Next.
13. If a Windows Logo testing window appears, click on Continue Anyway.
14. Click on Finish. This will return you to the Modems tab.
15. Click once on Samsung GPRS MODEM and click on Properties.
16. Click on the Advanced tab.
17. Type at+cgdcont=1,”IP”,”internet2.voicestream.com” in the Extra initialization commands field.
*** Note –If the account is provisioned for T-Mobile VPN service, then type at+cgdcont=1,”IP”,”internet3.voicestream.com” instead.
18. Click on OK to complete the setup.
Setting up the connection
1. On the PC, return to the Control Panel and double click on Network Connections.
2. Click on the link to Create a new connection .
3. This will open the New Connection Wizard , click on Next to begin.
4. Tick Connect to the Internet.
5. Click on Next.
6. Tick Set up my connection manually.
7. Click on Next.
8. Tick Connect using a dial-up modem.
9. Click on Next.
10. Tick the box to select the Samsung GPRS MODEM.
11. Ensure it is the only modem ticked and then click on Next.
12. Type the name T-Mobile GPRS for the ISP Name .
13. Click on Next.
14. Type *99***1# for the Phone number.
15. Click on Next.
16. Tick whether you would like to make this connection available for Anyone’s use or My use only, and then click Next.
17. Ensure the User name, Password, and Confirm password fields are blank.
18. Tick to select from the available options below, and then click on Next.
19. Click on Finish to complete the setup.
Making the connection
1. On the PC, return to the Network Connections folder and double click on the T-Mobile GPRS icon.
2. Verify that the User name and Password fields are blank and the number to Dial is *99***1#
3. Click on Dial.
You will now be connected to the T-Mobile GPRS service.
