Sorry to jump in start a new thread on this but there are a few broken links in the original threads and I'm wondering if things have moved on...?
If there is anything new on this I'd appreciate being directed. I Googled for a week but there seem to be conflicting ideas and this thread seemed the most up to date and very close to what I wanted to do.

this thread I tried to follow the links to the documentation resulting out of SFiorito's investigation for using EWF and hosted by knubile. Does anyone still have the document that was created? The orginal links are now broken. I read that knubile had put togeather a zip with all the files, reg files and insructions togeather but never saw it in the thread. If someone has this I'd be indebted.
I have bought a Sandisk Extreme IV 4G CF card. Anyone else used this card? I now understand I can't set that as "fixed" but does that cause me major problems other than not being able to partition it? I have a CF-IDE adaptor ready and waiting..... I am hoping I haven't wasted my money trying to get the fastest card I could afford.
I'm planning on using NTFS for the CF so I can compact if required. Plus my HD that I'll use as my image is NTFS and I don't want to have to reformat it and reinstall my XP and cut it down again. Seem OK? The MSDN XPe CF instructions say that I don't need to do anything to build the CF under NTFS, am I understand that correctly? Could anyone point me in the right direction to format and prepare the CF card? I will use Norton Ghost to get the NTFS image on the card.
Apologies again for adding a new thread on this subject but personally not adding anything material to the discussion. Once I'm up to speed I'll try to correct that.
