Damn. 4GB Extreme IV supports UDMA 4 but as I can set it as fixed I can only format it as FAT16 right? SFiorito's and MSDN XPe instructions only cover FAT16 using bootprep and NTFS on a "fixed" CF. Is it definitely not possible to format FAT32 to address the whole 4GB and follow the bootprep route? Also the Sandisk USB reader only supports PIO so I'll not get the benefit of a fast card anyway.
Option is to get an Ultra II 4GB so I can set the ATA bit and format as NTFS and install directly on that (or copy a Norton Ghost image of my HD build?). Or sort my XP build better to get it and my apps to fit on a 2GB Ultra and go the well documented FAT16 route.
Your thoughts appreciated:-) It's 09:30 here I'd better get to work!
