Hi Jim,

Yep, the 'P' before the model number means that it has a 'P-Bus' socket on the back, this can be used with any Pioneer P-Bus add on but the quality of the function depends on the head unit.

If the head unit doesn’t 'understand' the device that has been connected to it they will work together in a simple compatibility mode, this works but it is a bit 'clunky'.

The CD-UB100 will give you an 8 character display on the head unit, this will show USB F001 when playing a file and when your moving from file to file it will display USB T001 ect....

The more advanced 2007 units will give on screen display of the folder and track name.
