Here is the 0.8a release:
http://www.aychamo.com/amp/AMP.zip
* You *need* to delete ~/Library/Application Support/AMP/AMP.plist !!
* Repeat: Delete the above file! ~ is a shortcut for /users/YourUserName
* Did you delete it yet?
* Ok, now start up AMP!
* You shouldn't have to re-import your music, but if anytihng looks odd with album art, go ahead and re-import - please try re-importing before posting there is a problem!
-
Bugs/Misc
- Fixed a bug where the "Now Importing" screens wouldn't disappear after importing (Music & Photos)
- If you don't have radioSHARK, the Radio button is dimmed out
- Fixed a bug where I was pumping 4x the info needed into the visualizations
- Switched the Play/Slides button on photo view to make more sense
-
Features:
- AMP is now full screen [translation: it gets rid of the menu bar/dock and fills the entire screen and dominates its 800x480 footprint], and should be runnable on the 800x480 screens (
please someone try and let me know!)
- All visuals now work through the "Visual" button (clicking on the album art no longer does anything). You can configure which visuals you want to see by clicking on the "Utils" (Dashboard) icon from the main menu, then click on "Configure". Then click on "Visuals." Just click them on or off, and they respond accordingly. The enabled visuals will play randomly when triggered by the Visuals button
- A nice little "About" menu under the "Utils" menu
- Shutdown menu is now implemented under "Utils"
- Web Browser + OSK is implemented, but not "skinned" yet [read: it looks like complete ***, waiting on a nice layout idea

]
- Added a "Glowing Apple" visual, and a nicer Aychamo version of the "Spinning CD" visual. The visuals, when possible, keep some sort of rhythm with the music.
-
Questions:
- Does the web browser need a URL text bar up top? If you are using a touch screen, you hit the OSK button and type in the URL. You don't need to see it at the top once you've already entered it and are browsing the page, right? It could save a lot of space to get rid of it.
- Where else would the OSK be useful? ("Paths" view under "Config" for sure)
-
Still to do:
- Individual playlist item view
- Configure favorites for radioSHARK
- Configure favorites/bookmarks for the browser
As always, thank you for any feedback and bug-reports!
- I wanted to wait to release until I added a few more things, but I'm going to be really busy the next few days so I wanted to get you guys this newest version. Hopefully you can find some problems with it and we can get things ironed out!
