Not sure if this is a bug or not, I have both my movies and my music videos in the itunes music library folder, but when I direct Amp to look for them in that folder and choose import, it doesn't work...

Do you mean you set your movies director to something besides ~/Movies, it doesn't import them? If so, (I just tested it), it is indeed a bug.

Thank you. Apparently, you have to make a change, then exit out of the menu, and then go back in to re-import. I'm fixing this as I type this. Hold on. Ok, it's fixed now. It will be in the next version I upload.

awesome thanks, also, since I have about 15 movies but close to 200 music videos is there a way for Amp to tell the difference? to read the tags that Itunes uses to tell the difference between the two? Or Maybe a Music Video section?

Are all of your videos & music videos stored in iTunes or in a local folder that you access via Finder, etc?

You could perhaps create a link for now

From your home dir you can delete the hopefully empty dir 'Movies', then create a link. ie. in terminal type something like 'ln -s Music/iTunes Movies'

V0009 browser is really cool and keeps being very easy and intuitive to use !

A good test of usability for me is not having to read the docco :-)

The browser is a good example of this. For example, to save a site: click on + to add, get a list, click on + again and u r in business !

As alway keep up the great work !!

Well, I was talking to raceer about adding a "Genre" browsing mode. You could tag all your music videos as "Music Videos" as browse them by that. Alternatively, you could put all of your music videos artist tag as "Music Videos", and then use the album tag as the artist name, etc.

I, personally, have all my music videos for an artist under the album name "Videos", so when I go to the artist, their videos are under the "Videos" album.

I'm thinking about doing, for the ~/Movies view, just a live directly listinig of whatever folder yuo point it towards, so that you could just browse the actual folder, etc. So you could just drop folders in there, or put links, or whtatever.

Not sure what the best thing to do is

Here are some "teaser" pictures for the "music view popup" thing during visuals.. It works as follows. Normally, if you touch the visual screen, it exits and goes back to the music menu. If this option is enabled, when you touch the visual screen, this screen pops up for a few seconds, and lets you navigate the songs in the current playlist/album, change volume, and shuffle, pause, etc. It's pretty damned smooth The visuals keep rendering behind the semi-transparent window. Really, really nicelooking. If you click the X, it exits the visual, back to the music menu.

Let me know what you think.. And I'm still waiting on a pic of AMP running on a Xenarc!

looks good a great comprimise!

yeah I'll give it some more thought, maybe that would be the way to do it.. but I guess it would be nice if Amp could just tell what the video is...

The visual pop-up looks great. I am going on vacation for a week and can't wait to see how much progress is made in that period of time. Going to Cornerstone music festival.

Anyway, I am not sure about the "x" button... would it be easier to "double-tap" the screen? I am not sure because I still don't have my xenarc in 800 x 480, but I will when I get back, and if no one else has put pictures up. I will.

Hey guys,

Just a quick note. For those of you who can't get your computers into 800x480, and are stuck in 800x600, I have found a way to put the visiualizations, movies, etc, into "full screen" [meaning take up whatever space you give it, instead of the typical 800x480] The UI itself will still be in 800x480, but some of the other stuff will be fullscreen.

This is good news

I was browsing http://web.mac.com/francoborgo/iWeb/.../Software.html and found a program called Display ConfigX(http://www.3dexpress.de/) and it has an option to change your screen resolution. I just have my normal computer with me now and I dont want to try it on this one. If anyone else wants to try and change thier screen to 800x480 you can try it out
