lol
We were studying when I put the payment on the dog, and one of the organisms we had was named "Malassezia furfur", and my friends (that are girls) want to name him Mally furfur............. but I don't know about that ! I want "Kuru." But I think I may lose out on naming my own dog!
Maybe I could name the dog Aychamo, after my own online identity?

I have updated AMP again. This is just some minor stuff that you probably won't see. The most noticable change is that the volume control now recognizes if you change the system volume in some other way (keyboard, remote, etc..).
I haven't gotten a chance to look into the stuff I promised to look into the other day (too busy watching soccer ). I'll take a look as soon as I feed the dogs.
Also I upload the source too.
Enjoy,
-dave

good update. I would change the volume with my keyboard and yes it would change it, but then i click on the volume on AMP and it would just revert to what ever AMP had last. Thank you for that. Any news on the mouse hidden feature? shouldnt take much.

I know Bobby was looking at it before he let himself get distracted by school work
We've talked about it some, but last time we talked we still had worked out what to do about the pros and cons.

What do you think about just straight up making an option, to show or hide it? And if it's hidden, only show it on the file->open dialogs? I figure in an in-car environment, with a touch screen, you would never really want the mouse cursor anyway, if you are in AMP. Kinda like the mouse would only be for "testing" purposes?
Dave - I just DL'ed your latest version - everything looks great man. Again, thank you for taking over for a while. It looks really good.

It's baaaack
I just re-uploaded the binary and source. The "Shutdown" option in utilities is now "System". In it's popup, I replaced "Log Out" with "Hide AMP". Once you select that, it hides AMP and you can bring it back by clicking on it's icon in the Dock.
Let me know if anyone was actually using the "Log Out" function and i'll put it back (which I assume everyone is since I removed it ).
Is anyone using the "Calculator" or "Dashboard" items on the utilities window? If not we can look to reuse that space for other things.
EDIT: AMP and Source.
Thanks,
-dave

I'm using calculator occasionally.

But since Aychamo said above, he will be incorporating an application launcher into the plugins functionality, I think I could loose the button in the utilities window.

wow holy **** lol. I just did this medical care thing where I volunteer at the Monterey Bay Aquarium with the Sea Otter Research and Conservation program (what a mouthful... how about just SORAC). I learned all about how to inject sea otters with meds and how to decipher medical information.... All I can remember thinking about durning the technical part (where we learned about the meds themselves, dosages, etc.) was how glad I was that I am taking engineering and not medicine of any kind in school lol. That was only a super super simple beginners thing too!!
So now that I got an extremely (and i mean extremely) small dosage of what you are going though... I feel for you man.

lol Yeah man, it sucks really bad sometimes. What's killing me now is the studying. It's been so frustrating because ever since this semester started winding down, I haven't been able to really take any time for myself. I had one dead weekend, and the rest is just pure studying.... and I hate studying so much It's amazing all the things I find myself doing instead of studying. Just 10 more days and I'll be done with this semester, and have a nice & very needed break! I just make myself feel better by telling myself "I am a professional student. This is my job right now, so just do it."
So the SORAC, do you do it actually at the aquarium or what? I love that kind of stuff man. I always wanted to get involved in that kind of stuff, but we never had many opportunities where I grew up. Are sea otters in low populations? What kind of meds do yall give them?

hahaha yeah I am the ultimate procrastinator too lol. I get into a lot of trouble though because of it... I could get really good grades if i applied myself more. I just cant seem to get myself to sit down the study for prolonged periods of time lol.

ha, well I am indeed part of the program but I am only just a volunteer. Bacically what I do is just take care of sea otters that we find stranded. lol its really just a lot of feeding and cleaning. I do help with administering drugs to otters for parasites or diseases as well.
The sea otters around here were in extremely low populations a while ago due to hunting for their fir. Their population is increasing and right now its at pretty high numbers. However, the population is not very healthy right about now, something to do with lack of food supply, or poor food choice I think.
Obviously things are more complex than that but I dont want to write it all down lol.

Hey man!
You are in undergrad engineering, right? Is there anyway you can do research with the sea ottesr at your undergrad institude and get credit for it? It sure seems like your in a nice position to do that!
