I guess you could release it. I'd like to see how it works with 2gb of cached google earth files. I'm gona work on getting enough stuff cached over the next week.

Has anyone used that windows GE caching program? Were you able to transfer that stuff to a mac? or did you just spend countless hours clicking on various points on the map and zooming in?

Hey is there source for AMP? I'd like to see if it's possible to integrate RoadNav in it. All I want AMP to be able to do is raise the RoadNav window when a GPS button is pushed and as far as lowering you just double click on RoadNav titlebar. I'm assuming that this is doable with AppleScript, I've never used it so I'm not sure to the extent of it's power, but it seems like something it would be able to do.

Also I tried WindowShade to roll-up the RoadNav windown in AMP, but it seems that WindowShade doesn't work with RoadNav window, it works with all others, but not RoadNav.

I recently d'loaded amp and installed it in my mac. I'm having issues though. Whenever I try to import my itunes library it gets about 3/4 done and then it crashes. I have tried it numerous times and I'm still getting the same outcome. Is there a limit on the amount of songs you can import. I have over 6000 in my itunes. Any help would be appreciated.

great program by the way.

I dont know if anyone knows this or cares. I didnt see any posts about it but you can use any quartz visualizer that you choose. In other words replace the ones in AMP with ones that you like. If anyone wants to know how i'll post instructions.

well not all of them work but i found about 30 or so that do. basically you right click on the amp app in your applications folder and select show package contents open contents and then open resources folder. there are about ten or 11 qtz files. those are the ones you will replace with your own visuals. you can open them to see what each one is. only one i wouldnt change is the amp loading one. i copied the originals to another folder just in case i needed to reload them. just copy the new ones into the resources folder and rename them to whatever the originals were. i didnt try changing the pictures in the configure page in AMP where you select which ones to turn on and off but they all work. I dont know anything about quartz composing so I dont know why some work and some dont. i found them all here. some in animations and some in screensavers

http://www.quartzcompositions.com/ph...load/index.php

i may post which ones have worked for me later

Souch is the life of open source, so nobody should be offended. Any new code is good for review and it should be made available and then if people are given a choice they could make it based on their needs.

You havent done anything wrong. Its not that aychamo cant but that he has done so much already he cant do everything at once. so please modify/add to/develop as many things as you can for AMP just show aychamo what you have done. Maybe in your spare time you can start adding things that were suggested in the wishlist thread.

hi there guys im using amp via a rgb input on my avic, so im onlu getting a 1/4 of the screen i was thinking that for people in my position that you could do a full screen the visualisations are fine and the movies its just amp
also is there a way to just play all your mp3s in a shuffle mode instead of just within an album, this is an excellent program by the way

ok, just so everyone knows(cuz i know people are wondering if this is going down the hole like all the other mac front ends) that ITS NOT! I just got done talking to aychamo and his next release is going to be HUGE. I dont know how much he wants to reveal so I wont say anything but he's been working on AMP and this next version looks so good plus it has a few cool features in it that are new. So please dont rush him and just let him do his thing but be ready for this next AMP version.
