not that I know of, I think the resolution is fixed at this point... AMP 2.0 is suppose to have more options when it comes out...

hey buddy

i know, i know, it's taking a long time! i'm actually working with (that is, i hired) a graphics artist for this version, to give it a unique, but completely OS X-ish look. i've also been pretty busy witih school, i thought this was supposed to be an "easy" semester! ha!

it's got some really nice things, and a few really neat new things. like, it doesn't "need" a "main menu" anymore. it's also completely controllable by only six buttons, in addition to the touch screen, so those without touch screens, or those witih the griffin powermates (or whatever else) can control it too. the "importer" is only needed for album art now. if you just add a song in your itunes or whatever, amp will pick it up automatically, etc, so it's a lot less effort on your part to add media. also, it has dynamic updating of your ~/movies, and it can play itunes' protected video files (although that's still a hack.) progress bars are gradient filled, etc, and it scales pretty well.

to answer the "when" question. it shouldn't be too much longer. i'm at the point where most everything works, and ijust need to do all the little "adjustments" and "tweaks" to get everything "just right." plus, ,my graphics guy keeps coming up with really interesting new screens that i just have to implement!

you wont be disappointed!

Great news! I was just kidding about hurrying things up! Can we get a sneak peak at a screen shot or two?

what format are the videos in? I convert all my videos to mp4 using Isquint(a free program) that way the files sizes are smaller and all my video files are ipod friendly...

If it's a white screen, it's probably .avi's. You'll need to DL the appropriate codec from Apple's site for QuickTime to play them. Curious, what other mac frontends have you tried?

Anyone used with 10.4.8

I've just updated to 10.4.8 and AMP does not work. It opens but does not access/play any itunes music. Am I not doing something right? Or is this program not supported by my OSX update?

You have to go to the utilities menu in Amp and import your music before it can access any of your music.
