Yeah, I'd say delete the prefs file and start over.

Aychamo - maybe you ought to create an Amp Bugs/Troubleshooting sub forum?

how about we stop posting any and everything about amp in this thread and start making this amp forum a real forum instead of 4 threads with every piece of info ever created on AMP.

there's an amp forum? I couldn't even find a website. Point the way!

By the way, it didn't work - but it's okay I don't even have my mini yet - if it doesn't work on THAT, then I'll be back!

I dunno man.. That's the first person that's actually had trouble with it in 25 pages! ;-) Maybe he doesn't have the latest software versions (iTunes, etc). Or, my father has a Intel Mac Mini, and I tested AMP out on his computer a few months back, but he had f-ed up his home folder name somehow, it was completely screwed, and AMP wouldn't work on it. Maybe this guy did that too? I don't know enough about Macs to fix my dad's problem.

i dont think its necessary like you said, the fixes are normally real minor if anyone has any problems.

my bad. i found this post by searching, and didn't realize when I glanced at the breadcrumb that it was in a parent forum called "amp." You're right, it was pretty dumb.

I have all the latest software. Even deleted the amp prefs and started over but still no luck. But like I said, I'm only testing it on my macbook pro. My mac mini comes next week and if I can't get it working on there than you'll be hearing back from me!

By the way, good luck with your schooling. That's an important thing right now.

i downloaded the latest as on aychamo's site, and tried to run it on my powerbook g4. it attempts to launch, but ends up doing nothing, wtf? i really want to give this a shot, amp seems way better than most other things i have looked at lately for my upcoming install with a mini in a 03 grand cherokee.

Yea I had problems with it on my macbook pro, but when my mini came I threw it on there and it works like a champ. (I think I realized it didn't work right on the MBP due to user error).

:-) Thanks man! I programmed a little bit when I was younger, so I knew basic concepts, but I didn't get a mac until i started medschool. I got bored 2nd semester and started teaching myself the cocoa frameworks and obj-c, and i've been trying to do one new program each semester (2nd semester was this horrible flash card program, 3rd semester was AMP, 4th is AMP2.0.. which is taking me a lot loonger than i anticpated)

Gotta hit the sack! Upgrade that mac of yours to tiger!
