Buttons - control

It's pretty... try it

Unfortunately not in this part of the world. Even with the current extreme contrast its difficult to read in bright sunshine. Anything less and it would be impossible to use..this is where the voice control would kick in....

Guess, folks that want to can always swap the few buttons if required to give the desired look :-)

Also notice that apple with all their focus teams, usability studies etc use similar overlayed controls for example....so it can't be all bad :-)

Here is the 0.0007 alpha release:
http://www.aychamo.com/amp/AMP.zip
* You'll need to re-import your music database!

- There were some issues if you had videos in your playlists. My first fix on it was really slow, but I figured out the best solution, which requires you to reimport the music database.

- AMP wasn't being very smart about resetting the "pause" button's status under a few different conditions. This has been (hopefully) fixed.

- I removed four of the more-stupid visualizations, and added a new one that is very iTunes-ish.

- Also, I have three really cool visualizations from that link raceer posted (the iVisualize plugins). I just put them in this morning to show you what's coming up down the line. You can see them by clickin on the small album art icon on the bottom-right part of the music window. They aren't fully implemented yet, this is just a demo, and to get some feedback.

- Fixed a few other graphical issues to make things make more sense (all buttons in music view have drop-shadows, etc)

As always, thank you for any feedback and bug-reports!

I think I may start a little documentation file to include with it with some answers for questions, etc.

Haha Glad to see you guys liked them. I've figured out how to get all the right data into them. I just need to figure out the best way to choose them. I could keep them on the album art.. Since if you click the album art for visuals, it shows you visuals with album art, and the other visuals button for the others.. Or??

I just need to do a little code to keep them updated for when the song changes (ie, in a playlist, or the normal "auto-play" mode.

I've done a little to get the audio input into them. It looks *really* great on that one on the album art with the orange graphics. The ones with the big CD covers don't seem to really have much in the way of "interactive" music.. Kinda sucks. I wish I had any artistic skills whatsoever, but I dont, so I can't do **** in terms of making a nice thing like that!

There's also one new visual thing under the actual "Visuals" button. It looks milk-dropish. It's like the blurs of light, looks really smooth. I modiifed the math on it to make it a little more impressive. (though, it's not in the current version of AMP; I have amp tore about right now to fix some more stuff that was irking me)

great job, I like the album art stuff a lot, I would probably use that the most in the car. I think it works great where it is, but again, if you wanted to simplify it, make a seperate prefs area for visuals, and have it as a choosable thing there that starts after the song is playing for 5 secs or so... please keep up the great work, I'm sure that the people that aren't commenting are too busy using this great app!

Hey there!

Well, if you are an artist, I could use some design advice for this screen (and any other area of the app!) This screen just doesn't visually please me, you know what I mean?

Hey guys, looking for feedback on the "web view." I know I'm horrible at designing stuff, so please please feedback, make mock-ups, whatever!

The < and > are back and forward/enter. The + is add bookmark. 1-4 are bookmarks..

I have to admit though, my heart feels heavy with putting in a web view. Safari is already so great. This really will be just a stripped down version of Safari. I'll put work into something that will be less functional and less useful. It really may be smarter to just have AMP launch Safari..

I don't know.. What do you think? Maybe I'll have it an option to use the internal or just launch Safari. I honestly don't want to put a lot of work into this little browser.

sorry but it is pretty usless looking lol
Can you type text into the field above on top? you sould implement some kind of on screen keyboard. The colors are pretty bad dude, lol you were better off with just black buttons IMO. keep up the good work though .

Just a quick note, you can type text up top, and I do have an OSK already (looks like an OSK with the same style window as the popups that tell you the current music playing/volume)

I know its ugly That's why I'm asking for help! I can't design, program and do all the graphics!
