Now Playing Screen
Any chance of a now playing window kinda like CCar had? Something like that makes it a lot easier to see what's playing with a quick glance. When I'm in a playlist, I can barely even read the tiny little text in the corner there. I practically have to bend over towards the screen to read it.
A screeny is attached for those who have no clue what I'm talking about.

Well, there's a preliminary one in there now, which you can activate by clicking on the clock (or the area where the clock is), or clicking on the album art in the lower right corner. I think there's a small bug where if you click on the album art, the "now playing" screen won't go away automatically (if you have that option set..) [due to me not finishing some little function with the cursor, which i've now figured out]
me & dave have changed up the screen a bit in the next release, and i've added a little more information in there also.. i may also make a full screen complete now playing screen, that looks essentially like frontrow's.

I need to get a documentation together for AMP. The basic features are really self evident, but theres a lot of little "why the hell would I ever try that?" things in there too.

wow way too much information on that screen! Looks way too cluttered for my taste

I completely agree. I hate that cluttered look. I've seen screenshots of all the windows front ends and they are literally the exact opposite of what I want in AMP. I want it to remain simple, functional, and .. i'm not sure what the third word should be yet
I've been doing a few tweaks, and when I finish with finals (on Saturday..) hopefully I'll get some stuff in that will knock your socks off. (because socks usually smell bad anyway)

I've been sending Dave (gnat) these really long, obsessive emails about this exact thing. We both agree, and both want AMP to capture the beauty and visual style of OS X, the Mac, and everything Apple related. I'm working on some of this now..
You guys would be surprised at a lot of the stuff that goes on behind the scenes..I literally obsess over the location of every single element, and really try to have each button in the exact same pixel location in each screen, and i think for long periods of time about the "name" of each button,e tc. .. its actually kinda sad when I think about it (kidding!/.. but not really!)
Annyway.. i Need to hit the sack... one more test on saturday.. oho my god..

Haha I know for sure I would do the exact same thing if I could program lol. I do it with other things.
Good luck on your test... Speaking of school I start up again this monday :'( . Well I had a nice long break, so I guess its time...

Yeah, sorry I haven't done any updates lately either. I got a new HD system late last week and then some personal stuff has kept me away. I am in the process of getting a Sourceforge project setup which should make it easier for Bobby and I (and anyone else that wants to) to work on it at the same time.
SVN hasn't been my friend though (Fink is all foobared) so i'll probably end up going with CVS as there are better instructions for it anyway.

Next 5 songs
Hi there!
It would be great if you could see the next 5 songs or so - especially when listening to a playlist.
(Thank's aychamo for this great piece of software)
greetings

One of our outstanding items with playlists is to be able to view the songs. When we fix that, I want to look into (and make it apply everywhere) having it change the list based on the current play order and then advance through list so you can see the last/next few songs.

Looking excellent! Here is my feature request (if not already posted). It would be nice to be able to add an application to a customizable menu. Then I could add a shortcut to the navigation software or whatever. Maybe add another page with custom menu shortcuts. Application icon, application name and application path would be setup fields.
Keep up the great work!
Brian

Hi Brian,
This is in the works! (Relatively close to be completed, in fact!)
