Well thats interesting... with one of the plugins that controls switches or maybe something new what would be super, super, SUPER awesome would be if your car doors would unlock when the computer detected the iphone (of even any phone) via bluetooth (~30ft)! I know this is completely unrealistinc for something like this, lol but that would be f-king awesome.
Ya I have had this idea for a while using BluePhoneElete. BluePhoneElete can wake a mac from sleep and it can run applescripts as well. I would basicly do what you have explained and use the proximity sensor to wake the computer and flip the relays. Its possible with almost any bluetooth phone but it will be even sweeter with the iPhone.

Yep, and you'll also notice that it can be controlled by a computer as well, such as the ones we all put in our cars, so, imagine this. Mini controlling windows and doors on the inside, iPhone (please oh please) letting us in/starting our car from the outside.

Radio/Television support
I tried to post in the Kindling forum, but didn't work, so i post it here.
I see in the features that DVB radio is supported. Can i use the EyeTV Diversity ( http://www.elgato.com/index.php?file...eyetvdiversity ) for that? And if so, wil i be able to use television also?

FM radio?
I've read the thread but no one has requested a FM tuner control?!
That would really make AMP an ordinary carstereo killer!
Anyone know any usb FMradio to hook with mac?
Radishark doesn't support RDS(insn't made for car use).

Amp already supports the Radioshark. The HQCT tuner is the most likely candidate for good FM reception, but AMP doesn't yet support it.

Ok, i read though the whole thread, but i don't program. Infact, i just got a mac today (free) and didn't even concider one before. Plus, i'm new to carputers, this will be my first.
Anyway, i downloaded AMP and I found it very easy to use, i like it alot. Thank you.
Here is my wishlist. And though it caters to me, i think it's logical.
1. GPS, it just makes sense and brings AMP to where it's actually part of your car.
2. OBDII-Again, it makes amp part of your car
3. Bluetooth, but only if it's done right (not a priority for me as i have it already)
I think only then should you get into some of the other things.
4. equalizer-it's a media player, makes sense
5. Traffic conditions-It's cool but there always is the radio
And then i think things like skype, proximety sensors, etc. Yeah, that stuff is cool but without the basics, it seems pointless. Skype for example, does it have to be integrated into AMP? You can still use it without it. Proximety sensor would be very cool but only if it worked perfectly. Again, nothing i'd pick over my first 3.
Anyway, i know this is a project, and probably a personal one with a fairly personal agenda, but that's my list.

Is AMP 1.4 the latest version? I found the source code for 2.0 and I compiled it, but I didn't like it as much as 1.4. I don't know if these quirks are addressed in a later version of AMP (if a later version exists), but I'd like an option to just list all my songs (without having to sort by Artist or Album). I'd also like to be able to (preferably) skin AMP, or at least modify the home screen, so I can add my GPS program to the home screen for easy access (without having to the Plugins section first).
Thanks!

To access all of your songs, put them in an 'all' playlist in iTunes.

I did that, but I still can't scroll through my songs and choose which one I want to play- it just plays them in order. Is it possible to make it so I can scroll through titles?
