EEEPC 1000 and touch screen

I bought a 8" LCD with touch screen from Dynamix and loaded the drivers.
I can get the PC to release control of the mouse to the touch screen to calibrate or use.
Any ideas?

It doesn't "release control of the mouse".
You can have the mouse and the touchscreen together.

Ok. Then its got to be in the calibration software. It is supposed to show x's in the 4 corners, but the first runs for 5-10 secs then stops and you cant get the touch screen to respond.

Ok. Trying that in a few secs. DLing it to the pc now. Then back out to the garage....

Ok. I uninstalled the old software, rebooted and installed the new.
rebooted (just to be safe) and plugged in the touch screen. It detected the controller.
when I touch the screen I can drag the cursor, but releasing sets the cursor back to the top right quadrant of the screen.
If I try to set the 4 point, the x blinks 4 times and stops dead.
I checked the PC mouse to see if it had some weird setting, but it looks right.
Any ideas? This is getting frustrating....

Ok. I found that the case has warped a bit and was touching the screen. THAT reset the cursor.
Opened the case, heated and bent it back and VOILA!
Works perfectly!

The newer software is much better thanks!
