Thumbs up AutoPlay 1.34 Released 17-Feb-2003

Finally, a new version!

Here is whats new -
  • Rewrote the entire GFX system to use DirectDraw as apposed to Bitblt for a huge speed increase. Also means that AutoPlay now nice and smooth on the highly popular EPIA 800 motherboards.
  • Implemented a very basic skin system, allowing for better management and selection of custom skins through the new 'skinfolder=' parameter in autoplay.ini, 'skins' folder and skin.ini file(s). Should be easy enough to work out.

as always, any bugs/errors/gripes post em here so I can hopefully solve em. With the changes to skin system (for the better) you will need to re-jig your previous skins - but it shouldnt prove to be too much of a hassle. Just have a look at the "skin.ini" file, basically all the font/color information is now covered in this file instead of autoplay.ini.

As for the next lot of enhancements - nested playlists is the first thing I want to implement, then fast forward/rewind options in the mp3 player section... but other suggestions, as always will be noted

seems much smoother, I like it

only a couple things to request

1. a search music while playing feature (hope that names not copywritten by media engine )
2. Random on/off

Ive only messed with this on a keyboard because I dont have a screen for the car yet so I may be missing out on some features for irman but from what Ive seen, it looks good, just needs a few more tweaks.

Sweeeet magnetik! muuuuuuch smoother

still having resume from STR mode problems tho.. ... the new version gets an error that sez:

-----------------------------------------------------
Run-Time error '-2005532087 (88760249)'

Automation error
-----------------------------------------------------

Winamp's running still, but Autoplay "GUI" crashes...

i love Autoplay, but I cant use it with my system as of today.

Keep up the good work Magnetik

(im using Autoplay and Girder on my HTPC at home) works flawlessly

best regards
Richard

t0ffluss, could you possibly post your girder configuration for AutoPlay? ive tried to set it up, but with the new Autoplay that always takes focus, it makes it very hard to work with girder to set it up.

Just have girder send key presses, and map the keys in autoplay
