Currently there is no separate map point module since I wanted a whole system, and wanted one that was entirely touch screen based) I used the products I already had so that I didn't have to spend any money on the software!

From what i can see from the scrrenshots it looks designed very well , I personally was not able to test it out because I dont hae access to mappoint at this time.
Is there a way at this time to disable the GPS in a settings file, so one would be able to test out the other functions?

I could...
Have it not do anything with the mapping when mappoint is not installed, but then the only module would really be sound. I'll work on that.
I'm also working on a more elegant recovery when MapPoint crashes which it does every once in a while.

Looks nice and clean... it would be sweet to have volume control for both the music playing and the navigation seperately ... as well as a overall volume...
it shouldnt be too hard since you are pausing the music while the navigation voice is playing...so you could change the volume and change it back...
Also.. the Hibernate exit does not work... it doesnt do anything at all actually...

Volume...
There is a way to put a mute and a volume on the main page (I think Zoro's skin does this). HAving seperate navigation and music volume is actually pretty interesting. I had also thought about keying the volume to the GPS speed, and thus having a speed dependant volume setup, which I'll probalby add shortly.
What is your setup for the Hibernate? It's strange on my laptop and desktop it works fine, but on my VIA it doesn't work at all. I just hibernate by pressing the button on the front of the unit for now as I've not managed to figure out why the hell it doesn't work.
thanks!

question about mappoint
is the mappoint required for autotouch the one that sells for $250+? or is there a different version that people are using?

Skin issue
Grem
First of all great work...well done very neat and tidy and very functional!
I like the simplicity and the keyboard is great!
When running on my 800x600 Xenarc though....when i press the navigate button the menu that pops up the top button is above the top of the screen?
Any ideas?
Regards
Daniel

Which skin are you using? And which screen are you on when you press the navigate button? I run 800x600 on my screen too, so I would expect it to be the same.

Yes I know, I haven't chased this down yet, I'm using the Windows call
SetSystemPowerState(false, true);
which is supposed to do a hibernate, but it doesn't for some reason. Like I said, since I can just press the button on mine it hasn't been at the top of my list of things to trace down, but I'll take a look.

Isn't it time you got your own forum setup here? This would make it easier to handle support problems/

Chili - That's cool, let me kno what you find. I'm curious to know what hte problem might be, could you perhaps PM me a screen shot per chance?
I've figured out the issue with hibernation, I hadn't looked into it for a bit but I just discovered it doesn't work on my new laptop (it did on my old) and therefore I was able to actually go in and debug it. I'll be posting a new release with that fixed shortly (probably this evening) If zorro gives his permission I'll also include his skin with that release, as it's quite nice!
