Sounds like this may be associated with your other problem with FreeDrive. Check to make sure you are using the latest Visual Basic 6 Runtimes.

I'll have to assume that Rickster may be right here. I'm not sure what TGE.DLL is, it's certainly not something I'm using.

I'd love to know...

lol typo, meant to be 'the'.
ive got all the vb runtimes, mdac, .net framework, and still get the error.
it only affects audio though, it is muted and i cant turn it off, which is anoying as my main raeson of using it is for voice nav.

any other ideas?

ok, think i may have it, just seen that it requires media player 9, and i think it currently only has media player 7 or somthing like that.
could that be it?

OK, installed media player 9, dont get the dll error now, but the icon in the corner still has the muted symbol, went into settings, can change music volume fine, try to change nav volume and i get the following:
Any Ideas?

ok, just tried it out, seemed to give directions ok, although it wont read it out, even though ive set the option in the config.

was all going good, until i did a u turn, went a bit mad into a endless loop of showing my location, then scolling along my route to my destination to a list of directions and start again, this isnt rly a prob for me as i dnt intend on doind u turns, but if i could get the audio directions working that would be great.

Thanks.

You need to install the voice codec separately. I took that out of the install to shrink the download. If you can install the Microsoft Speech kit from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

and then it should work...
