Thanks for taking time to elaborate on the teaser. I assume this is the radio product mentioned elsewhere that SD is going to provide controls for. I don't mind compound solutions to problems (like the thread I found the tease in) but dedicated, puropose-built solutions make things better in numerous ways.
Is the casing going to carry through past prototype? If so, what size is it?

That will be the final size of the HD tuner itself. There will be another small USB translator box that will connect the din 8 cable on the HD tuner to the USB port. It will also inject 12v power into the HD tuner. I don't have a picture of that because it's not built yet.

Any options for a Beta tester? I would be willing to pay for the unit. Also what about the sound quality when moving? Still just as good?

There's no reason why it won't work with the T3.

We hope to release an SDK for any other software developers. It gets complicated because of our licensing obligations with iBiquity. We can't just release the protocols, so we are making out own DLL and SDK. We're also bound by logo requirements. We plan to check with iBiquity and see what they will allow us to do. Hopefully iBiquity will play along.

First post here...

I think this product will be desirable to many people in the "home-theater PC" world as well. In my case, I want to put one in a vehicle that is both a "home" and a "car", my GMC Motorhome.

The tuner box is about 5.5 (w) x 3 (l) x 1 (h) inches and the USB translator is very similar in size at about 5 (w) x 2.5 (l) x 1 (h) inches.
