Ok, just when I thought I had everything figured out, I get a message from a Pioneer tech and he tells me that the Pioneer GM-7300M is all I need for the subs. I look at the spec for the amp and it says
Continuous Power (2-Ohms) : 360 Watts x 1-Channel
Being totally confused with that, I call the guy ((800) 421-1404) and he says yes, that is correct but, this amp has a max power handling of 800 watts so if you turn the gain up to around 80%, you will have all the power you need.
Wholly ****, now there is something I didn't really understand, the gain factor.
Does he mean that at 0% gain, the amp pushes 360 watts, at 50% the amp pushes 580 watts (360 + (440*.5)) and at 80% it pushes 712 watts (360+(440*.8)) ?
Is it really that simple?????
