how to run splits actively using with sound card

Hi all,

I have a set of focal splits that i plan to run actively. I have 2 amps (2xaudison srx2), and i wish to ditch the crossovers.
The sound card in question is a creative audigy 4s.

How can i go about doing this? because on the amps if i just high pass the mids, wont it play ALL frequencies? ie. the ones i want the tweeter to play..

is there any other way than just making the tweeters the front speakers and the mids the rear speakers? wouldn't i have a whole bunch of time alignment issues?

cheers,

Nav

Hi guys...
spent a bit stuffing around with this sort of stuff...haven't really figured it out.

there are players that do what i want but because of the front end i want to keep it winamp..
all the VST's ive tried just do what i want for a single channel..

basically i want to control the filters for 3 channels...1 high pass and one low pass... and 1 band pass..

im thinking of just doing this otherwise:

is anyone else using this sort of method?

any help is appreciated.

the kxproject method does a pretty good job. Just make sure your soundblaster card is on the list of supported cards. A 5.1 card will give you a 2way setup with sub, and a 7.1 card will give you the possibility of a 3way+sub.

It looks as if the Audigy 4 is only partially supported by the KX driver suite, it would be worth a shot to give them a try though.
