need radio help

I know nothing about wiring up a car radio and don't pretend to know anything. just want to put that out there first. anyway, so here's what happened. I bought an after market stereo for my '97 civic, the radio guy installed it and placed the factory radio inside the dash console. Since then, my after market stereo has been stolen. So I did some research on how to removed the console panels on how to get the factory radio out to reinstall it. but then once i got the radio out it didn't work. it doesn't switch on. it doesn't do anything but fill the gap in my dashboard. I don't know what i did wrong of course. i followed the directions i had from some install doctor website. what do i do now??? oh, and where the heck do the screws that hold the radio in the dash go?? I mean i know they go in the back of the radio but i don't see where it connects to the dash. grrr. thanks for any advice!

This forum is dedicated to CarPCs and installing them in your car.

The car audio forum is dedicated to integrating your car audio system with your CarPC.

For specific questions related to car audio equipment systems that do not include CarPCs, I would recomend checking out car audio specific forums:

http://www.elitecaraudio.com
http://www.carsound.com
http://www.caraudioforum.com
http://forum.sounddomain.com
http://www.realcaraudio.com
http://www.carstereo.com
http://www.caraudiomag.com
http://www.termpro.com
http://www.the12volt.com
http://www.talkaudio.co.uk
http://www.caraudiosecurity.com
et. al.

There is a chance that someone on here might have an answer for you, I would just hate for you to wait around for it when I know you could get an answer much quicker on a dedicated forum.

Good luck.
