meh, no super amps. Owned by maxxsonics..... overall a crappy manufacturer. You'd be better of buying an old reference on ebay. They really are one of the bettee amps ever made.

LOL....I always think that soundstream still making great product as before... How much did you buy your MC420M?? I saw the pricing for focal and audison amps, it's just a waste to buy them. I'd better save bit more and buy McIntosh...LOL....

I'm not gonna tell you what I payed because it wouldn't have any relevance because of a number of reasons. I have searched on ebay and came up with these 2:

http://cgi.ebay.com/McIntosh-MC420-P...91256672QQrdZ1
http://cgi.ebay.com/ULTRA-Rare-Mcint...QQcmdZViewItem

ugh, whoever said rockford... i despise rockford. You gotta pay to play, and if you're not willing to pony up to get good equipment... you just wont have a better than average system...

I actually like the Focal amps very very much.. never played with Audison... and have very little experience with Mc amps. Although i have had a customer come in with his Z and get a quote on installing all his older Mc equip into it... very impressive system listing as well

I will be one of the first out the door to say McIntosh makes a great product that is second to none. Now just because the price is higher then alot of other manufactures it makes it a waste to spend on another manufactuer? That is a very bold statement without anything to back it up. Please post your facts, I am going to be ordering some new C2K amps from Zapco. So because I am only spending half of what McIntosh amps will cost I am wasting my money? Have you auditioned any of the Amps that you are considering (in a car not on a sound board) in a properly set up vehicle? Have you decided on your components yet? Just making sure you are running components because you wouldnt want to waste all that money spent on amplification just to run a $99.00 wal-wart special coax. Hell mabye you should just buy the Audison Venti Thesis Havent heard it but it looks real nice
so it must be worth the $8500 (not a slam on Audison just stating that you cant base the value of something being wasted based on a price point. I believe that an amp coming from a standup manufactuer such as Audison with a price of $8500 is well worth it)

W0w...It seems that my statement has created so many issues...I'm sorry about what I said... I take my word back...I do believe that Zapco, Audison, and Focal do make great products.

I'm just a newbie who adore McIntosh product but cannot afford it..

I can't comment on these because i've never heard them. I do know that it's rumored that the newest soundstream refs. are pretty much knock offs of the old soundstream refs. I don't think they are stateside yet though but keep an eye out for them.

another brand to try to go listen too are the newest cdt amps. These were designed by the guy who used to make the old kick *** nakimichi amps.

Hey man its cool, Like I said If you really like and want the McIntosh stuff I would save for it. From personal endevors I have found that it is much cheaper and faster to obtain that way, because if you want the McIntosh now then you will want the McIntosh next year. So If you want McIntosh Id say save for it you will be much happier just my $0.02 though.

Thanks scott, I bought PDX 1.1000 for my subwoofer and still looking around for 4-channel amp for my speakers. I'd love to get a good amp to pair my type-R speakers.
