eq

eventually i want to get an alpine h700/701 unit but until then i need something to use for volume/sub control. i know that for speakers and amps legacy and pyle arent good but how are their eqs? if they suck what is another inexpensive eq i can get that has a main and sub volume control as well as 2 selectable inputs?
thanks
mike

Why not just bite the bullet and go for the alpine processor?
I only say that because why would you buy something that you'll eventually replace. You'll be happier in the long run, I'm sure I was when I got my H701/C701. I'd guess you're only thinking of alternatives because of fininancial reasons. But I'm sure that many people will testify that a quality processor, like the alpine, is a God send due to the simplicity and elegance of functionality it will give you. I usually say, "Do you want it done right NOW, or do you want it done right."

Another alternative for you may be to use a deck instead of an EQ for the meantime. Possibly an Alpine deck that is compatible with the Alpine H701 so you can add the H701 when you are ready and you wont need the seprate controller.
I dont mean to press my opinion upon you, I'm just giving my 2 cents.
