Tweeter crossover wire

Can anyone point me in the direction for more information regarding crossover wires for tweeters? I had these tweeters that linked up to my front speakers and they had what look like resistors inline with the wire. Well stupid me, I threw those wires away and now I don't know how I'm going to connect them to the system. Would pictures of the front speakers help? They seem to have some sort of resistor on the back where the tweeter wires connected. I know that they're there to filter out the low end frequencies but I can't find anymore info on the net other than that. I want to know where I could purchase them or make my own. Thanks and let me know if I need to provide more info.

It's going to be just a simple high pass filter. You need a capacitor and resistor, the values chosen as to where you want the cutoff to be. Just google "high pass filter" and it's not that hard.
