Hertz HV200 vs 8" Kicker L5
I'm wondering which Sub to get, i've narrowed it down to these 2. The Hertz hv200 can only handle half the wattage of the L5 but the Hertz is much more effiecient. I am putting it in a single cab truck.
Thanks, Nick

depends on how much power you have to feed it.... If you only have 200watt, there's no use in buying a sub that can handle 400watt....
edit: the HV is NOT a sub..... so it's useless anyway.

well i guess that settles that one, the hv is a woofer, not a subwoofer, so I guess your decision is pretty easy, go with the one thats a sub.
btw, welcome to the forums

35Hz is NOT a sub. A sub plays to 20Hz at least.... The L5 will probably do that, since it's a sub.

Thanks for the info.
Yea I was kind of wondering if the woofer was the same as a subwoofer. I'll go for the L5 then, even if i do need to buy a new amp. Thaks for the help.

I think you don't really get it..... I'd advise you to read up some more. Yes the Fs does matter, but there's more to it.... 28Hz isn't as low, and the kicker will go below that actually.
edit: T&S parameters explained

Thanks
Well thanks for all the info. I wasn't sure if a woofer is the same as a subwoofer. So out of those two I'd take the kicker. Any other suggestions for good 8" subs.

Depends on what you're looking for in a sub, and how much power your amp can deliver. I could sugest the 8" subs I'm using, but it is TOTALLY different from the kicker L5... So more info would be helpful.
