r these a good idea?

Pioneer TS-SW2541D 10" subwoofer

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...tailsComponent

I have an amp that produces "300 RMS" x 2 channels at 4 ohms. people have told me that it will not put out what the manufacturer states. So, i want to know if it would be a good idea to get two of these to match up my amp. also, how good are these woofers? any input is appreciated!

Well...I have helped install one of these in a friend's car as a free-air sub in the trunk because of space. It was matched with a mono subwoofer amp that puts out 600w rms. It sounded pretty nice considering it is very shallow but it cannot produce low frequencies ( I would say from around 60 and below, but it was used as a free-air sub so it will most likely sound different in a properly built box) loud at all. If I were you, I would rather bridge the channels and run one sub.

ok, can u recomend a 10'' that handles "720" RMS bridged at 2 ohms that sounds very clean AND will hit low notes (around 20-80hz) aswell as high bass notes (about 100-500hz)thatll cost me around $200 of line. (probly about double that for retail)??????? plees! thanx

well above 120hz you move into the mid bass range and your sub is not going to sound the best above that. Good a good set of componets to fill it from there. If you dont have the money for an amp to run them, just run off of the head unit.

How about an Infinty 10" Kappa Perfect DVQ sub? They're pretty cheap on ebay; I think under 200 shipped. They also sound very nice for the money.

i don't know if you are still looking around at sound equipment. But about a year ago i was introduced to diamond audio. http://www.diamondaudio.com/ And their stuff is all top notch. Well was.. I don't recommend the new d3 800 or 400 mono amp. .but last years model which you can still find on the internet which is 600 watt is made by zapco. and the amp is solid. their 4 channel is great. and the subs and speakers are amazing..
