CDT makes good products. I don't have personal experience with them, but I've read pretty good things about them.

The CDT CL-61's are excellent speakers for the money; too bad they do not make the CL-61's anymore. They were replaced by the CL-62's that can handle more wattage.

I have a pair of the CL-61's and so does two of my friends. Mine are amped with 125 watts rms per channel and crossed over at 80hz with a 12db slope. The silk tweeters can get very loud without being too bright. The woofers also sound very nice but it doesn't have a lot of bass. They sound very clear and not muddled though. If you do put a high pass filter on them, I wouldnt go lower than 60hz.

I had the CL-61s in a car for a year or two. They have a very laid back tweeter and average midbass. The worth of the set is based on the price you can get them for. When I got mine they were $150 and worth the $$ IMO. I have since upgraded my speakers, but have no regrets concerning the CDT units.
