Mod TM-868 with Car tweeters?

I have a TM-868 touch screen monitor and 2 tweeters from a Mazda Miata.

Would it be possible to attach these tweeters to this monitor? The tweeter's wire gauge is about 8, almost 3 times thicker the speaker wires in the TM-868.

Any risk in damaging equipment attaching higher gauge wires smaller ones (other than melting the smaller ones)? What if, in place of these tiny wires, I de-solider them, and solider in the thick, tweeter ones?

I first have to ask why?

Secondly, while tweeters are some of the most efficient speakers of the range, the single speaker on your monitor probably wouldn't come close to the same power requirements.

You would need to know the resistance of the speaker on the monitor and the resistance of the speakers you have that you want to know before the gauge of the wire would even begin to mater.

Would it be possible then to create an aux in/out instead of attempting this?
The PO of the monitor cut the speaker wires, so I'm left soundless. Plus, I don't want a tiny single speaker taking up space.

Since my car is a convertible, mounting the screen directly to the car is a huge security/theft issue. So, for now, it'll have to be in a portable case on a car stand.
