Also please let us know what goal you want to obtain because I highly doubt that a quad coil digital designs 9917 with with 8 z2 amps will fare to well in the sound quality side of things.

My goal is to achieve the best bass possible with my setup.
Two MA Audio MA1200XL Subwoofers :
* 600W Rms
* 1200W Max
* Dual 4-Ohm Voice Coils
* 240oz. Double Stacked Magnets

and either
Two MA Audio HK1998 :
* 1 X 500W RMS @ 4-ohm Mono
* 1 X 600W RMS @ 2-ohm mono
* 1 X 1200W RMS @ 1-ohm Mono
or
One MA Audio HK1398(2channel) :
* 2 X 400W RMS @ 4-ohm Stereo
* 2 X 600W RMS @ 4-ohm Stereo
* 1 X 1600W RMS @ 2-ohm Mono

Either setup is being hooked up with 0 guage wiring and a 2 farad cap.

I would think you'd want to go with the dual single channel amps, because otherwise how are you going to connect to the two channel? You'd have two 2 Ohm or two 8 Ohm speakers (due to the dual-coil)

If you run the subs down to 2 Ohm then go to the single channel amp, I think that'd be your best bet, personally.
